I Went To Your Wedding ... The Soulmates !

Went to a friend's wedding last Saturday
( Lesley-Jared Haley ), food was great and the open bar was a delight
( for me and my good friend, Angelo ) but one thing you can't fail to notice were the warm smiles of people all around you, especially the bride and groom's.
It's as if LOVE was really in the air. An aura of happiness clearly envelopes the couple and by the looks of it, they had found their true SOULMATES in each other.

According to an old Greek myth, humans originally consisted of four arms, four legs, and a single head made of two faces. But the Greek god Zeus feared their power and split them all in half, condemning them to spend their lives searching for the other half to complete them.

So, as the story goes, that is the reason why people, by nature, spend most of their lives searching for that somebody ... that special someone.

Sometimes, you might find him or her early in your life. Minsan naman, you get unlucky and not find them at all, reason why you prefer to grow old alone or has a partner but still carries that empty feeling down deep inside.

Your soulmate can be somebody who has different likes and might not share or agree with your taste in music, clothing and lifestyle but he or she bears characteristics that you might lack.

Once you are together, you complement each other perfectly.

Sabi naman ng iba, he or she could be someone from your past life which explains why a soulmate feels "familiar" to you from the first time you see him or her, even though you have never met the person before.

Whatever the truth is, I believe that you should not be wasting your time looking for your destined soulmate because if he is really out there ... YOU WILL FIND each other.

Without trying, you will cross paths in mysterious ways ( he could very well be sitting next to you at this moment and you won't even know it ! ) Just learn to follow your heart for it will guide you ... and worry not,
for when destiny calls ... it WILL happen.

The process of searching for the right one seems complicated and tedious
( some people really spend a lifetime doing so ) pero there's only ONE sure way to gauge, to find out kung nakita mo na talaga siya ...

... and that is if the other person in your life makes you HAPPY !

Have you found ... "The One" ?

Once upon a time ...

there were 6 kids who were ...

" ... raised together, living a simple life .."

" ... but one day had to go their seperate ways to make it, to fulfill their destinies ...”

Dapat sana "... and they lived happily ever after " ang ending ng kwento, pero for me, LIFE is a continuous journey and although happy naman lahat, I know malayo pa talaga before we'll really reach
... the end !

People : Random Pics Pt. 1

Now for some randoms pics of people we got to meet ... ( also, a way to save you from an impending boredom ! )

Ayoko sanang sumali sa photo but he insists, asking me kung pwedeng makunan ako ng picture with him. So I said fine but to please hurry up lang :)

BTW, that's not Aga Muhlach with the hat on ... he's the one with the shades !

Whoa! What's going on in here ? I knew something was wrong the moment she stopped asking me about my coming home late, hmmm

The Concert King with ... oh, no ... not again!!!

Time to meet the kids...

"And now ... let's give it up for ... Fire and Ice !"

JOANNA ... a daughter any parent would be proud to have. Of course, I’m being prejudistic kasi anak ko ‘yan eh. Pero in fairness to my daughter, she really deserves all the compliment.

She successfully juggles her life as an A-1 college student and a part-time worker. She also has school clubs to take care of and church choir every other Sundays to attend to. I know that to some, these stuff that she does, would just be humdrum or really not out of the ordinary. Pero what her Mom and I consider to be her greatest achievement, and the one thing that we are truly proud of, is her unfailing love and respect which she shows not just to us her parents alone but to her brother as well. It‘s a feat that puts her above the rest.

Hey Joanna... I’m making you look good here ha, so no pressure but you better not fail me now :)

Always and forever will be ...
"Daddy’s Little Girl" !

Now ... about my dear John

If Joanna seems to be the FIRE, then JOHN BENEDICT, hands down, would certainly be the ICE in our family’s fervent life. Even as a child tahimik lang ‘yan. But through his own cool and subtle manner he gets things done. He’s not the type na makikigulo pa just to get attention. Instead he would quietly observe and just do his part if a situation calls for it. Not that he doesn’t care, it’s just his nature. And my wife and I totally respect and appreciate that. Ang sabi ko nga kay Misis, after going through our daughter’s yearly “exciting” antics, what we need is a break from it all and John would, unknowingly, provide that. Also, his love and loyalty to his sister had been time and again tried and tested and has never wavered a bit.

What we always keep telling our kids nga eh is after everything else fails, at the end of the day, you have no one else to turn to but your family. And we’re happy that they seem to realize the importance and are beginning to live by the principles naman.

"Meet ..."

THE WIFE

"The Last Woman Standing" ... For me, that's the phrase that would best describe my wife.

Just when everybody else have failed or left me in the heat, so to speak, Lorence or "Mahal", as I would fondly call her, would still be there, patiently waiting for me to "come home".

I wasn't the perfect guy and our marriage wasn't really the storybook kind. And like what any married couple will tell you, the times and your relationship could sometimes get rough. But amidst all the pains and trials that comes with it, she would always, somehow, manage to pull us through, and together, we would victoriously walk out of our plight. Not only once , in our 20 years of marriage, had she done this. And that alone would show you what this 5' 2" of a woman is really made of.

20 years of marriage and we still say "I Love You" before going to bed ... maybe some people just don't change... oh but wait! Lately, she's so into this Facebook thing and she would get cramps after 3 hours or so, of painstakingly typing on her "minana pa sa anak" na laptop, complains about it, but would be back doing the very same thing the next day. Hey Facebook! ... what have you done to my wife? :)

What am I doing here ? This is my novice attempt at entering the wild and crazy world of social networking.

My blog might not cater to the whims of those with facile dexterity or peerless know-how in this fast cyber world that we live in, and definitely, not garner appreciation from people with a discerning eye for perfection, but who cares ?

I'm just here because I want a world of my own ... a space of my own ... with and for the family and friends that I can call ... MINE !
